Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy describes what DiagnoStack actually collects and does with it — written to be accurate to how the site is built, not boilerplate copied from somewhere else. This is not a substitute for legal advice; if you need a compliance-grade policy for a specific jurisdiction, have this reviewed by a lawyer.

What this site does not do

What the tools do with what you submit

Most calculators on this site (capacity planners, cost estimators, format converters, generators) run entirely in your browser — what you type never reaches this server at all.

A smaller set of tools (the DNS, WHOIS, TLS, port, blacklist, DNS propagation, DNSSEC, and website-health checkers) genuinely need to send what you submit to this server, since they perform a live lookup against the domain/IP/URL you provide. That submitted value is used only to perform the lookup you requested and is not written to a database or kept afterward. Standard web server access logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) are retained briefly for security and abuse-prevention purposes, consistent with normal server operation.

Cookies and consent

This site asks for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie. Google Analytics does not load, and no analytics cookie is set, until you click "Accept" on the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you click "Decline," Analytics never loads for that visit. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which will show the banner again.

A small session cookie is used regardless of this choice to enforce fair-use rate limits on the live-check tools — this is considered a strictly necessary cookie (the site's tools don't function safely without it) and contains no personal information.

Advertising

This site may display advertising through Google AdSense or similar ad networks. If so: Google and its advertising partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or generally at aboutads.info. Any advertising cookies are also gated behind the same consent banner described above where technically applicable.

Analytics

Once consented to, this site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which tools are actually used and how visitors find the site. Google Analytics collects information such as your approximate location (derived from IP address, not exact), device/browser type, pages visited, and referring site. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.

Third-party services this site uses

Affiliate links

Some pages contain affiliate/referral links, mainly to cloud and hosting providers. Clicking one and later signing up may earn this site a commission, at no extra cost to you. This does not involve sharing any personal data beyond what the destination site itself collects when you visit it.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for IT professionals and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Your rights

Since no accounts or personal data are stored beyond routine, short-retention server logs, there is generally nothing to request deletion of. If you have a specific concern about data handling on this site, contact hello@diagnostack.cloud.

Changes to this policy

This page may be updated as the site's tools change. Material changes will update the "last updated" date above.
